These roles help to deliver a range of services participants in their private homes and sometimes in the community. This role is perfect for someone who loves building meaningful connections, passionate about helping other people. You will be leading the way towards participants achieving their goals which may include:

  • Personal care such as showering support, toileting, dressing etc.
  • Domestic duties such as vacuuming, mopping, linen change, laundry, dusting, cleaning toilets and bathrooms or meal preperation
  • Accessing community to complete shopping, attend medical appointments or community activities
  • Transport participants in your car into the community
  • Skill development to make new friend or look for work
  • Collaboration with support networks

You will need to have:

  • Good communication skills and can follow instructions well
  • Relevant experience is preferred but not required as training will be provided
  • Willing to learn new skills, with ability to adapt to needs of participants
  • Certificate III Individual Support or IV Disability Support
  • A valid driver’s licence and vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • Working with Children’s Check
  • NDIS Screen Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificates

Group Support

These roles would suit an experienced and adaptable disability support worker. These groups involve tailoring strategies to manage emotional wellbeing, life skills development and social connections. Supports are provided in centre setting and in community.

You will be guiding participants to achieving their person-centred goals:

  • Becoming independent with domestic tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, linen change, laundry, dusting, cleaning toilets and bathrooms, cooking
  • Accessing community to experience local attractions, events and places of interest
  • Helping with transport participants in your car into the community
  • Skill development to make new friend learning a new skill or look for work

You will need to have:

  • · Good communication skills and teamwork skills
  • · Relevant experience is preferred but not required as training will be provided
  • · Ability to adapt to needs of participants with understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred care
  • · Certificate III Individual Support or IV Disability Support
  • · A valid driver’s licence and vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • · Working with Children’s Check
  • · NDIS Screen Check
  • · Current First Aid and CPR Certificates

Gardening and Property Maintenance

These roles would suit an experienced gardener who can:

  • Maintain lawn care needs including mowing and edging
  • Wedding and pruning and plant care
  • Maintain clear and safe access to pathways throughout a property
  • Yard clearing
  • General home maintenance tasks

You will need to have suitable vehicle and equipment, knowledge of safe and effective use of gardening tools and equipment. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions. Attention to detail and passion about helping older people or people with disabilities and their families.

You will need to have:

  • Good communication skills
  • Relevant experience is preferred
  • A valid driver’s licence and a suitable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • Have your own equipment for the role (tool allowance will be paid )
